The aim of this study was to provide a model to identify and investigate the impact of effective factors in knowledge-based economy on the creation of knowledge-based universities. The purpose of this study is not only to produce and distribute information and engage in education and research to achieve knowledge-based economics, but also to use them in the use of economic resources in a continuous and sustainable manner. This research is an applied research in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of method, which identifies and examines the impact of effective factors in knowledge-based economy on the establishment of knowledge-based universities in Islamic Azad universities of Mazandaran province. The statistical population includes all members of the faculty of Mazandaran Free Universities with 1461 people in 14 units and the final sample size based on Cochran's formula will be 304 people, which has been selected by considering at least 10% of the sample loss of 348 people. Data were collected from the field method and library resources and questionnaires. Findings showed that there is a significant and positive effect between the factors affecting the knowledge-based economy and the creation of knowledge-based universitiesThe results of the present study showed that according to the accepted theories in knowledge-based economics, the university has always been considered as one of the basic levers.
