Investigating the characteristics of effective teaching from the perspective of Tabas nursing faculty students

Abstract
Introduction: Teaching is a two-way group process that achieves educational goals and comprehensive learning. Knowledge of students' point of view towards effective teaching and better learning has a great impact on improving the quality of teaching and learning. Therefore, we decided to study the characteristics effective teaching based on viewpoints of medical students at Tabas School of Nursing.
Material and Methods: The study is descriptive-analytical. The population consisted of 210 students
Studying at Tabas School of Nursing. Data collection instrument was a questionnaire whose Reliability and validity were confirmed in previous studies. A multi-staged stratified sampling method was used after collecting the data, statistical analysis was done using SPSS version 27 software.
Results: The findings of this study showed that in the priorities of effective teaching from the students' point of view, the highest average rank is related to the interpersonal communication component (3.59) and the lowest rank is related to the individual characteristics component (2.34). And the most important features of effective teaching include mastery of the subject, respectful tone and speech, and maintaining the student's character and respect for him.
Conclusion: According to the results, it is recommended that the characteristics of effective teaching be taken into consideration from the students' point of view, and it is suggested that the strengthening of communication skills along with teaching skills should be included in the empowerment programs of professors.
