چکیده

مقدمه: اساتید مهم­ترین عامل مؤثر در تعلیم و تربیت دانشجویان هستند. شناسایی معیارهای یک استاد توانمند و تلاش در جهت تقویت و بکارگیری آنها در امر تدریس توسط استادان، موجب ارتقاء فرآیند یادگیری می­شود. هدف از انجام این پژوهش بررسی ویژگی­های یک استاد توانمند از دیدگاه دانشجویان دانشگاه علوم پزشکی جندی شاپور اهواز بود.
روش کار: این مطالعه توصیفی به صورت مقطعی انجام شد. دانشجویان دانشگاه علوم پزشکی جندی شاپور اهواز جامعه آماری آن را تشکیل می­دادند. حجم نمونه 250 نفر محاسبه گردید و نمونه­گیری به روش طبقه­ای-تصادفی انجام شد. ابزار گردآوری داده­ها پرسشنامه­ای بود که روایی و پایایی آن در پژوهش­های قبلی تایید شده بود. در این پرسشنامه 4 حیطه دانش­پژوهی، روش تدریس، شخصیت فردی و توانائی در ارتباط اندازه­گیری شدند. داده­ها از طریق آمار توصیفی (میانگین، انحراف معیار، درصد فراوانی) و تحلیلی (آزمون تی مستقل و تحلیل واریانس یکطرفه) در SPSSتحلیل شد.
یافته ها: مهم­ترین خصوصیات یک استاد توانمند ازدیدگاه دانشجویان به ترتیب تسلط استاد بر درس مورد تدریس (41/0± 9/4)، شیوائی بیان (46/0± 78/4) برآورد شد. از طرفی دیگر، قاطعیت و سخت گیری (02/1 ± 58/3)، سابقه تدریس (01/1 ± 9/3)، ازویژگی­هایی بودند که دانشجویان کمترین اهمیت را برای آن قائل بودند.
نتیجه گیری: روش تدریس مهم­ترین ویژگی یک استاد توانمند از دیدگاه دانشجویان بود. بنابراین لازم است دانشگاه­ها این ویژگی را در جذب اساتید لحاظ کنند و یا اساتید را از طریق کارگاه­های روش­های تدریس و چگونگی برقراری ارتباط با مخاطب برای آموزش بهتر آماده سازند.

چکیده [English]

Purpose: Professors are considered a very crucial factor in educating students. Identifying the criteria of a competent professor and trying to evaluate and apply them in teaching the professors will enhance the learning process. The purpose of this study was to survey the characteristics of a competent professor from the viewpoint of students of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences.
Method: This research was a descriptive cross-sectional study. The research population included students of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. The sample size was 250 and the stratified random sampling method was used. The data collection tool was a questionnaire and its validity and reliability were confirmed in previous studies. In this questionnaire, 4 domains of science education, teaching method, individual character, and ability to communicate were measured. Data were analyzed by descriptive (mean, standard deviation, frequency percentage) and analytical (independent t-test and one-way ANOVA) statistics in SPSS.
Findings: The most important characteristics of a competent professor from the student's point of view were mastery in teaching (4.9 ± 0.41), and spontaneous expression (4.78 ± 0.46), respectively. On the other hand, solidarity and assertiveness (3.58±1.02), as well as teaching experience (3.9 ± 1.01), were among the characteristics that students scored the least.
Conclusion: The teaching method was the most important feature of a competent professor from the viewpoint of the students. Universities must consider these features in retaining professors or they may prepare them for a better education via teaching methods as well as effective communication workshops.
