Abstract

Following the increasing development in information technology, the traditional methods of teaching cannot meet the staffs' teaching demands and the educational needs of today's organizations. This study was an observational study with a cross-sectional design conducted in October 2014 to investigate satisfaction of in-service training e-courses among employees at Ahvaz Jundishapour University of Medical Sciences and Health Services(AJUMS); three categories named satisfaction of content, presentation and e-learning programs. The studied population consisted out of 1052 members included official, contract and conditioned contract staff, and a sample of 211 were selected by easy randomized. Data collection was performed through a standardized questionnaire based on Likert scale; Reliability and validity of the questionnaire were reassessed; then, data analysis was done using descriptive statistics, frequency, mode, mean, standard deviation, ANOVA, and independent t-test using statistical software SPSS 21. The highest amount of satisfaction obtained regarding to e-learning program was 4.17 average (of 5 scores) and %80.65 agreed; while the lowest belonged tothe content satisfaction with 3.76 average and %69.43 agreed. Background variables such as work experience, type of employment, and education and gender didn’t have any impact on the employees' satisfaction from participating in e-learning courses. Therefore, due to the considerable satisfaction of the employees from the e-courses, it seems necessary to consider serious planning for the appropriate structure and full implementation of this approach to learning.
