Abstract
Objectives: University can be tough for students, and consulting with professors is key to avoiding problems. Due to COVID-19, virtual mentorship is now the norm, and this study will look at the challenges faced by medical students at Hamedan University in comparison to face-to-face mentorship.
Materials& Methods: The study conducted was a descriptive-cross-sectional one, which included medical students. The research population consisted of 100 individuals who enrolled in virtual education, and 96 individuals who enrolled in face-to-face education. To collect data, a questionnaire was used, which was designed by the researcher. SPSS version 16 software was used for data analysis.
Results: Our study's results show a significant difference between the average grade point average of the two groups and the average grade point average, and courses passed in the group with virtual education are higher than the other group. However, students' satisfaction with their advisor is at a low level. (P value<0.05)
Conclusions: Virtual education has shown an increase in academic progress. This may be due to students having more time to study. However, it is important to evaluate the validity and reliability of tests, as well as the security of exams to prevent fraud.
