Abstract
The present study was carried out to determine the compliance of the social medicine training program with the roles and duties of general practitioners.
The present study was a descriptive-analytical and cross-sectional study and the statistical population consisted of all physicians who graduated in the last 5 years of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. The sample was randomly selected based on the sampling formula and finally, 170 people were included in the study. Data were collected through a researcher-made questionnaire. All analyses were performed using SPSS software version 24 and at a significance level of less than 0.05.
Finally, the results were significant between the total dimensions in the training program of medical internship and internship at the level of p<0.01.
It is suggested that all dimensions be regularly reviewed with modern science so that it can meet the needs of graduates. Also in this field, for example, 5 years of needs assessment of graduates should be done.
