Purpose: The overall purpose of this study was stated to identify the dimensions and components of good governance in macro medical universities in region one.
Method: This applied study was conducted with a qualitative and quantitative approach. Hence, in the qualitative section, the statistical population consisted of 14 people selected by purposive sampling method based on the saturation law. In addition, in the quantitative section, there were 1851 professors of academic faculties of macro-medical sciences universities in the country's health sector that 320 people were selected as a sample using the stratified random sampling method and classified based on Cochran's formula. Then a researcher-made good governance questionnaire with 64 questions in 8 dimensions was used to collect data. The validity and reliability of the instruments were confirmed by the supervisors and consultants that the combined reliability and Cronbach's alpha were calculated higher than 0.7. Next, an exploratory factor analysis and a confirmatory factor analysis were used to analyze the data.
Findings: The results showed that good governance had 8 dimensions including university internationalization, accountability, university perspective, academic freedom, teamwork, foresight, transparency and university structure which the most important dimension identified was university internationalization.
Conclusion: Research conducted in the field of governance in higher education has often focused on theoretical topics related to governance and governance of higher education and tried to examine the challenges, underlying factors, and their consequences. But it must be said that the life of the university world has changed and despite the problems, obstacles, and opposition to the recent developments, academics should discuss again the form and scope of university interactions in the path of progress.
Identifying the Good Governance of Dimension and Components in Macro Medical Universities in Region One
 
Introduction: The current research seeks to identify the dimensions and components of good governance in universities of macro-medical sciences in the first region, including universities (Mazandaran, Gilan, Golestan, Babol, Semnan and Shahrood) in order to provide a model. The results of the present research are aimed at identifying the dimensions of good governance of universities of medical sciences in the region, creating relative awareness of the concept and presenting the model of good governance of universities. Identifying obstacles and facilitating factors as well as conducting short-term planning in the university, based on the research findings, to improve the main components of research in health higher education centers and help the officials and managers of large centers of macro medical universities in region one The country's health sector is one of the practical implications of this research to develop long-term strategies to improve governance in higher education health centers. Materials and methods: This applied study was conducted with a qualitative and quantitative approach. In the inferential statistics section, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data distribution, and exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation tests were used to check the research questions. Data analysis was done using SPSS21 and PLS software.
Results and discussion: Based on the results, it was determined that the dimensions of the good governance questionnaire were rotated in 8 factor loadings, the highest factor loading of 0.890 related to question 33 from the dimension of internationalization of the university and with the theme of "communication with foreign graduates" and the lowest factor loading of 0.408 related to To question 15, it is about the perspective of the university.
At the 99% confidence level, the t-values for all dimensions of the good governance questionnaire are outside the range (2.58, -2.58). R2 values for all dimensions are at an average level and based on standard coefficients between good governance and dimensions of academic freedom (0.627), transparency (0.573), university perspective (0.598), foresight (0.606), Internationalization of the university (0.662), structure of the university (0.551), teamwork (0.641) and accountability (0.610) are established, so there is a positive and significant relationship between the good governance variable and all its dimensions. According to R2 coefficients, the highest value is related to the internationalization dimension of the university with a value of (0.438) and the lowest value is related to the dimension of the university structure with a value of (0.304).
Conclusion: Since governance is one of the most important aspects of higher education and has a great impact on teaching and research activities, it has been significantly affected by the changes. In many countries, higher education governance has become one of the main priorities. The researches carried out up to now in the field of governance in higher education have often focused on theoretical issues related to governance and governance of higher education and tried to examine the challenges, underlying factors and its consequences. But it must be said that the life of the university world has changed and despite the problems, obstacles and opposition to the recent developments, academics should discuss again about the form and scope of university interactions in the path of progress.
