Abstract

Improving community health and reduce mortality social needs seem to be more rehabilitation medicine services. Therefore medical students must be familiar with this area. While in their curriculum courses related to these fields have not been incorporated. This study assessed the educational needs of medical students training in this field was to Ahwaz Jundishapur University. Lesson plan based on approved Rehabilitation Medicine Department - Health and Medical Education, the number of educational topics to some seventeen fourth year medical students who had chosen the course, were taught. Their views by the end of the questionnaire were assessed. Validity questions on course content through the preliminary assessment and formal content. 70 percent of students were expressed in sufficient theoretical training course in the field of rehabilitation medicine have not and 85 percent believed that education for medical students in this area needs is treatment. They need to feel different lesson headlines from 28 to 100 percent resolution was different. According to the experts stressed on improving health, reducing mortality, increased complications illnesses and change the type of patients and require students to declare theory lessons and practical skills training in rehabilitation medicine can cause changes of thought, individual skills and habits students Medical treatment is in order.
