Abstract

Empowerment is the most important challenge for executives in the present era because organizations are subject to rapid and unpredictable change. One of the most important factors in this change is the growing global competition, the development and expansion of information technology, and changes in the characteristics and demands of customers. The aim of this study was to determine the achievement of the objectives of the faculty empowerment programs at the Center for the Study and Development of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. This research is based on qualitative approach and Content Analysis Content Analysis. The sampling method was purposive sampling and then continued as a snowball. A total of 60 faculty members were interviewed. The data collection method was Semi-structured Interview's semi-structured interview. On average, more than two thirds of the teachers were satisfied with the programs and performance of the empowerment committee, but pointed to weak points that need to be addressed to address them. According to the findings of the study, the areas of participation and strengths of the professors' empowerment committee can be found in indicators such as motivation, information and updating, participation in educational and research processes, facilitating specialized communication, occupational enrichment, specialization, and conducting regular evaluations. Results suggested that these programs be updated with the help of professors and through a survey of them and also with their participation in order to make them more effective in executing these programs
