Evaluation of Pharmaceutics Students’ Satisfaction with New Method of Urban and Hospital Pharmacy Clerkship Training at School of Pharmacy in Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences

Abstract
Civic and hospital pharmacy clerkship are two most important courses of pharmacy education which lead to skill acquisition in offering pharmaceutical care services. In this descriptive-cross sectional study, these courses (including elementary, in field (2 levels) and hospital pharmacy clerkships) were presented to all students of one class with a new method. At the end, the satisfaction rates were assessed by a questionnaire at the end of educational year in 2014. The questionnaire’s validity and reliability were tested beforehand. The results showed that 45% of the students reported high and very high acquired skills. Most of the students (29 out of 40) announced that community pharmacy in field (level 1) training method had met their expectations. According to the result, a combination of theoretical and practical training (e.g. manual education along with practical training appropriated to the number of students in pharmacy) can raise the satisfaction of students.
