Hence, the aim of this study was to determine emotional intelligence and its relationship with general health in nursing students of Rasht Islamic Azad University. Then, this descriptive study was conducted on all nursing students studying during 2012-2013 academic year. The Sibriashiring questionnaire was used in order to determine the emotional intelligence, while the Goldberg questionnaire was used for general health. Moreover, Academic Achievement was derived based on students' scores on previous semester. Consequently, the results analysis were performed by descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation and chi-square) and inferential (T-test and Pearson correlation coefficient). Accordingly, results pointed out that Mean emotional intelligence was 52/60±13/97, and Mean general health was 20/48± 10/07, too. Moreover, there was significant relationship between score of General health and emotional intelligence (p=0/005).
