Abstract

Abstract: Clinical education is a training program in which students interact with the instructor and the environment then uses learned concepts in practice. Despite efforts done by nursing educational staff and medical staff to improve the occurred clinical education problems, the facts indicate that the clinical aspects of nursing education has under gone a lot of deficiencies. Due the impact of environment in educational quality, clinical learning environment problems have been studied in this research. The tool of data collection was questionnaires consisted of two parts for both instructors and students. The study population included all nursing students and nursing instructorsin Tabriz, Maragheh, and Ahar nursing and midwifery schools. The students comprised eight semester nursing students. Moreover, target population consisted of 107 nursing junior students and 50 nursing instructors. Data analysis was done using descriptive statistic (proportions, percentages, frequency distribution, and standard deviation). The results showed that students’ viewpoints regarding the highest percentage score was given for “discriminate between nursing students and other students of medical sciences” and the lowest percentage score belonged to "disproportion number of patients with the number of students” however, instructor’ viewpoints showed the highest percentage score is for "the lack of reporting systems in accordance with the standards of nursing writing (SOAPIE) and "lack the necessary equipment to perform nursing procedures" both with the same percentage score and the lowest percentage score was for “lack of diagnosis of various diseases". Therefore, the improvement of facilities and review of clinical records systems, and nursing documentation standards are recommended.
