Abstract

Introduction: Rounds, grand rounds, morning reports and education in outpatient clinics are common clinical training methods that are being implemented in most teaching hospitals and through these methods, the interaction between professor and student is carried out with the aim of teaching proper management of patients and acquiring practical skills. The aim of this study was to compare the level of training quality in Hospitals contracted with the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Islamic Azad University of Shahrood based on the clinical training standards of general medicine course in 1401.
Method: This research is a descriptive and cross-sectional study. Viewpoints of externs and interns were evaluated through a researcher-made questionnaire after confirming validity and reliability. A total of 108 questionnaires were received and the data was analyzed with SPSS v.22 software.
Findings: The highest level of accommodation with clinical training standards (needs) according to the evaluation of the externs of Khatam Al-Anbia Hospital was related to the morning report (74.2 %) and in the Velayat hospital, was related to the round (61.3 %). From the interns' veiwpoints, the highest level of accommodation with clinical training standards in Khatam Al-Anbia Hospital (91.3%) and Velayat Hospital (82.6%) was related to the morning report. The majority of externs and interns of Khatam Al-Anbia and Velayat Hospitals reported the level of accomodation with clinical training standards (needs) related to rounds and morning reports relatively good.
Conclusion: In general, there was no statistically significant difference between the views of interns and externs in both hospitals.
