Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between resilience and academic vitality with academic achievement in medical students of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences in 2019. So the present study was a cross-sectional descriptive study. The study population was all students of Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences studying in the academic year 1397-98; besides, the total number of medical students was 1785 that just 316 students were selected by cluster random sampling based on Cochran formula. Moreover, research instruments were Samuels Academic Resiliency Questionnaire (2004), Martin and Marsh Academic Academic Activity Scale (2006) and the Academic / Academic Success Questionnaire (Wells, 2010). Pearson correlation and spss software version 24 were used for analysis as well; and significance was considered 0.05. Accordingly, rhe results revealed  academic resiliency was associated with academic achievement; academic vitality with academic success; academic resilience in terms of communication skills, orientation and problem-orientation were in relationship with academic achievement of medical students at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences.
